The Truth Ads

During the last week I drove home to visit my dad and got to experience the joy of cable. However I was also exposed to the truth ads. These ads I feel are really aimed at the wrong people. They try to pass the blame of smoking off on someone else. In one add during a fake job interview a customer complains that using the tobacco companies product caused him to lose half his jaw. I can see how that would be upsetting, however I really feel like the truth ads try to take away the blame on the person buying the product. Its no secret that tobacco is bad for you, yet people continue to CHOOSE to purchase that product. The Truth needs to closer examine the fact that people are choosing to put that in their body. Does is suck that the product is on the market? I think it does, but people choose to use it, so Truth please refocus your ad campaign on education of those who use the products instead of blaming those who produce it.
